Giordano opened its 50th outlet in Singapore on December 15, 2006, on the Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) campus. This is the first on campus store that Giordano opened and the store will be used as a training ground for students in retail management.

The 1,200 sq ft store will be used as a training ground for NYP retail management students. Through this new collaboration with NYP, Giordano aims to help students deepen their understanding and gain valuable practical experience in every aspect of retail operations including merchandise display, personal selling, advertising and promotion and stock inventory management. Giordano is the first apparel retailer to open shop in a Singaporean educational institution, and the project reinforces the Group’s commitment to developing talented and passionate retail professionals and promoting service excellence.

"The retail landscape has changed dramatically in Singapore over the years. Given the intense regional competition, we need to continually innovate and improve our hard and soft wares to stay relevant and offer spontaneous service. Mr Chiang Kah Kee, Director of the School of Business Management at the NYP, is pleased with the new venture.
