Giordano Re-opens Hong Kong Flagship

Giordano re-opened its Manson House flagship store after a major renovation.  The store is 14,000 sq ft in size and opened in November 1999.  It was recently closed for a 3-week refurbishment and had its soft-opening on March 10.  The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, March 19.  

¡§This is the first major renovation of the store since its opening.  We have done a number of facelifts to update its look but have stopped short of performing a major refurbishment until we have settled on a new store concept. With this new store concept, we aim to present a more contemporary and up-market image to our consumers.  For instance, we used white and charcoal for the shop front color scheme and made back-lit pillars and fixtures a key design feature.  This gives the store a much more sophisticated, almost jewel-like, look, especially at night. We have also modified the layout and re-designed the fixtures and lighting to create a brighter, cleaner and more comfortable shopping environment¡¨ said Iris Tang, Hong Kong and China Sales Director. ¡§Actually, we first tested the new look in a number of stores in Hong Kong that we renovated in 2004.  The new concept has been well received and customers have commented that the refurbished stores are both classier and nicer to shop in. This is borne out by the significant performance gains we have recorded and we are confident that we will see the same for Manson House.  We will systematically roll out the new look to our other stores¡¨ Ms Tang added.
